Hey Rusty,
thanks for stopping by. I couldn't agree with you more. My J.O.B. kinda faded away with the economy and I've been looking for ways to combine my passion for writing and my desire to make money which lead me to join B$ a few days ago. As we speak, I'm attempting to narrow down a niche that I'm enthusiastic about [that others are as well] as I plan on blogging full time. I want to do my "interpretation" of the 10-30 method but I've found that I'm passionate about so many subjects, it's been tough to pick just one. I'll get there though, I never give up.

Cheers, Bryan

Bryan,

You really can have the best of both worlds. I make a full-time living from my blog and try to be personal and non-spammy. Once you get to 1,000 visits per day you will notice a nice side income. Get to 5,000+ per day and you probably won't need a job...unless that is something that yoy enjoy.

Bryan-

Your post was long enough to hash out a fully-developed thought. This is all too rare at present. With regard to new media, my personal motto is "Be 3D". I don't fancy myself a crusader of any sort, although a small part of me does indeed believe I can help take the posturing, over-calculation and narcissism out of the online conversation to a noticeable extent. Until then, blogs like your own are remote outposts of intelligent exchange.

Now, you mention marketing a few times above. I am interested in this side of new media. But you know what? I had no interest in marketing until I realized that, although we may not be there just yet, we are entering an era where effective marketing and authenticity go hand in hand. Consumers are starting to demand three-dimensionality, the humanization of brands and a corporate responsiveness to a degree we've not yet experienced. We're approaching a golden era of business, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.

Will we soon have our storied "marketplace of ideas"? I'm certainly optimistic.

Thanks for inching us a bit closer. Best of luck to you on your new blog.

Ian

Hi Terry,

thank you for your kind words and I really appreciate you stopping by.

Hi Ken,

thanks for the Hot Tips on the Links. I'm new to this and my Blog has only been up a short time. Not really sure what you mean by Backlinks, etc. but I will definitely look into it. I want to drive all the traffic I can. And I'll be sure to check out your site.
